The Secret Revealed!
Lois and Clark reach another turning point in their relationship, and this one is probably even bigger news than the engagement.
While sitting with Cat Grant's son Adam, Jose Delgado reads in the paper that Bibbo won the lottery with his lottery numbers. Adam tells Jose if only he were rich then he could marry his mom.
Lois and Clark learn that Terra-Man is a former businessman who has turned to eco-terrorism after his partners poisoned Lookout Peak. His Texan accent and Western-themed gimmicks are just an act. This Terra-Man is very different from his pre-Crisis version who came from space and had a flying horse. Post-Crisis Terra-Man never really caught on and won't be seen again until the next century.
A Lexcorp attorney stumbles on what appears to be Lex Luthor's will, which could have ramifications for the company and all of Metropolis. For the past few months, Clark Kent has been agonizing about keeping secrets from his fiance. At Lois Lane's apartment, Clark is about to tell his fiance his biggest secret when suddenly the Silver Banshee breaks through the door and nearly kills him. Clark excuses himself and Superman flies off to confront the Banshee, but she easily subdues him and takes him to the now-empty remains of Blazes. Blaze offers Silver Banshee the battle axe of the Clan McDougal to kill the unconscious Man of Steel, but he regains consciousness just as she swings and he grabs the axe from her. The Crone returns to punish the Banshee for her alliance with Blaze, and sends her to an unknown realm. Clark returns to Lois' apartment and on the last page dramatically reveals to her that he is really Superman.
Superman #52
With Lexcorp in disarray after Lex Luthor's death, Terra-Man returns to clean up the Hell's Gate landfill for them, but kills a Lexcorp employee in the process. Lois is frustrated with Sam Fonswell, the acting Daily Planet editor, because he won't change the cover story over the phone, forcing her to call Clark to write it for her, which also just so happens to alert the Man of Steel to the situation. Detoxifying the dump was just a test, and Terra-Man's real intent is to purify Lookout Peak, a contaminated town shut down by the EPA. Lois borrows a containment suit from Lexcorp to go to Lookout Peak, and when Clark learns what she's doing he follows her there as Superman. At first Superman tries to stop Terra-Man, but trusting that his previous experiment worked, he agrees to help him on the condition that he turns himself in to the authorities after it's done. While sitting with Cat Grant's son Adam, Jose Delgado reads in the paper that Bibbo won the lottery with his lottery numbers.
