Metropolis gets lottery fever and everybody's a winner.  No, really.  And Lois and Clark continue to work through their break up.  This is another short month, with only three books released.

Adventures of Superman #534

Collin Thornton regrets unleashing the DMN drug on Metropolis and as Lord Satanus he hunts down the addicts and dealers to clean up his mess by killing them rather than letting them be rehabilitated.  Superman obviously dislikes his methods, but without Shazam's magic he's powerless to do anything more than subdue the monsters until the weakened addicts go through painful withdrawal.

Clark tries to have dinner with Lori in a restaurant but has to leave to save the city from the monsters.  By the time he's done he can't go see her to make it up to her because she's roommates with Lois Lane.

Vinnie Edge fails to get the GBS board to reinstate him, but on his way out, a mysterious dark figure in a limo offers him a ride and a chance to change his luck.

As the lottery craze sweeps the city, Bibbo buys a bag of tickets for everyone at his bar.

Action Comics #721

Everybody in the city thinks they won the lottery!  But even stranger things start to happen: giant money falls from the sky and buildings actually start to walk to more desirable locations.  After saving people from these walking buildings,

Superman goes back to his apartment suspecting who is behind it all.  He walks into Clark's apartment and hears the shower running.  At first he thinks it might be Lori, but even though the reader sees a female silhouette behind the shower curtain, Superman pulls it back to reveal a naked Mr. Mxyzptlk.

In the middle of all the chaos, Lucy Lane and Ron Troupe run into each other again.

Superman: The Man of Steel #56

With seemingly good intentions, Mr. Mxyzptlk had granted all the good wishes in Metropolis, which explains how everybody won the lottery and all the buildings moved to better places.  But when Mxyzptlk finds out Lois and Clark have split up, he tries to do everything in his powers to get them back together.  Finally, he offers Superman to grant his heart's desire, thinking the Man of Steel will wish Lois to be in love with him again.  Instead, Superman wishes the imp would go home, sending Mxyzptlk back to the 5th dimension.  Lois appreciates that Clark didn't use his one wish to make her love him, and they fly off somewhere to talk alone.

Meanwhile, Bibbo has his big comeback boxing match against the world champion.  He manages to win the fight with a defiant K.O. but when news breaks that Mxyzptlk was responsible for the bizarre lucky streak in the city, his victory is questioned.  Everybody in the city comes to the disappointing realization that they didn't win the lottery.
